The Frances Hamburger Institute for Community Rheumatology is an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) institution dedicated to supporting research and education to improve the quality and value of care provided to patients with rheumatologic diseases. Research and programs will be developed to:
- fund and carry out initiatives that provide insights and raise awareness about improvements needed in treatment for individuals diagnosed with rheumatologic and related diseases;
- carry out research for improving access to necessary and appropriate treatments, including the role of payment and formulary policies;
- support patient-focused science, clinical, and health economic research related to rheumatic disease; and
- support public awareness and physician education to improve access to the latest advances in diagnosis and treatment of rheumatologic patients.
